To our great delight, among the first customers of the SodiumStar 20/2 was Starfire Optical Range (SOR), an institution of the US Air Force, based at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. SOR is a secure lab facility on a US Air Force Base, which made it challenging and adventurous for us Germans to be able to visit and install our lasers. But at least into one lab we were allowed and successfully demonstrated full performance of two laser systems after shipment from Germany.
